Research & Impact
Francesca has 15+ years of research, learning and communications experience. Trained in social science and feminist research methods, her approach is participatory, collaborative, reflective and strategic. As part of her research, she has undertaken systematic context and policy analyses focusing on the experiences of underserved and marginalised groups accessing HIV and SRHR services on the continent, as well as analyses of pandemic responses and the use of tools such as community-led monitoring to strengthen community engagement.
Her knowledge and learning focus has seen her coordinate global thematic learning networks on active citizenship and accountability, economic justice, and access to essential services; convene a global learning network to assess experiences of organizational capacity strengthening within a global confederation; and support organizational learning strategies as part of an inclusive MEL approach.
Her approach is grounded on the principle of ‘keep it simple’, ensuring that research and MEL concepts are demystified to be accessible to all.
